Pearl-banded Ratsnake (Elaphe perlacea)

Still looking for a nice picture of this species...

Scientific Name: Elaphe perlacea (Stejneger, 1929)
Common Names: Pearl-banded Ratsnake, Szechwan Ratsnake
Size: 100 to 130 cm
Distribution: Sichuan Province of China
Other Info: Elaphe perlacea is a medium sized ratsnake that until recently was known from only one specimen, collected in Sichuan province, China. Very closely resembling E. mandarina in body shape and pattern, only four specimens are known.
Not much is known about this rare snake, but it is believed to be closely related to E. mandarina and very similar in behaviour and habitats. Hopefully in the near future, we will learn more about this beautiful snake.
